Down 38-3 in the third quarter at Northwestern, the Spartans rose from the dead with an improbable 41-38 comeback win. The Wildcats started in the first half converting on six of their first seven scoring drives before a missed field goal helped start the Spartan comeback. This brings up the point about why adjustments are so important in football, both on the field and at the betting window. Adjustments before a game and at halftime can significantly change things. One adjustment Michigan State made was in the secondary, where Nehemiah Warrick and SirDarean Adams switched positions -- Warrick to bandit, Adams to safety. The flip-flop helped improve communication between the secondary and defensive line, and allowed Warrick to roam freely. Im not suggesting the Spartans under John L. Smith are great at making important adjustments. They have underachieved under his guidance, but I am stressing how important adjustments can be in a game. Over the long haul, good coaching staffs will make adjustments to help a team win. It even shows up against the spread, too. The New England Patriots trailed Buffalo 17-7 at the half in the season opener in September. The Pats had the ball for the final play of the half, but simply took a knee to regroup. Fans even booed. However, the Pats under Bill Belichick have been outstanding at making key halftime adjustments and thats what was taking place. They came out in the second half, as a 7-point second half favorite, and outscored the Bills 12-0 to win the game and cover the second half number. Adjustments can help bettors who like to play totals, too. Notice that after going 4 straight games under the total, the Miami Dolphins have changed their strategy the last two weeks. The Dolphins came out throwing Sunday against Green Bay, jumping to a 10-6 halftime lead. They threw the ball 62 times for 414 pass yards in a game that sailed over the total, 34-24. QB Joey Harrington set a Miami regular-season record with 62 passing attempts. Its one thing to look at Miamis 13 points per game scoring average coming into the game and think that they are a good 'under' the total team. However, its important to keep up on adjustments, because that can alter the pace and flow of a game, and change the way you handicap and analyze. The Chicago Bears came into this season with a reputation of being a great team to bet 'under' the total, with a terrific defense and a weak offense. However, they have been very strong on offense, for the most part, with a new style of stretching the field with speedster WR Bernard Berrian. And who would have thought New Orleans would be fifth in the NFL in total offense? A new coaching staff and offensive personnel have changed how this team moves the football. Dennis Green flipped out last week and fired his offensive coordinator after that awful Monday night loss to Chicago. Arizona then had 75 yards in the first half Sunday, trailing the Raiders 17-3. Oops! I would say that particular adjustment has been a failure. It will be interesting to watch the Baltimore Ravens this coming weekend as it will be their first game since firing offensive coordinator Jim Haslett. Head Coach Brian Billick will be calling the plays. The Ravens probably dont have the personnel to suddenly explode offensively, but from a handicapping perspective its essential to keep up on changes like this each week. It's a question that most interviewees expect and the one they have the most difficulty answering. Though one could answer this open-ended question in a myriad of ways, the key to answering this question or any other interview question is to offer a response that supports your career objective. This means that you shouldn't respond with comments about your hobbies, spouse, or extra curricular activities. Trust me, interviewers aren't interested. Interviewers use the interview process as a vehicle to eliminate your candidacy. Every question they ask is used to differentiate your skills, experience, and personality with that of other candidates. They want to determine if what you have to offer will mesh with the organization's mission and goals. If answered with care, your response to the question, "So, why don't you tell me about yourself?" could compliment the interviewers needs as well as support your agenda. This is a question you should be prepared to answer as opposed to attempting to "wing it". Follow the four easy steps outlined below to ensure your response will grab the interviewers attention. 1. Provide a brief introduction. Introduce attributes that are key to the open position. Sample introduction: During my 10 years' of experience as a sales manager, I have mastered the ability to coach, train, and motivate sales teams into reaching corporate goals. 2. Provide a career summary of your most recent work history. Your career summary is the "meat" of your response, so it must support your job objective and it must be compelling. Keep your response limited to your current experience. Don't go back more than 10 years. Sample career summary: Most recently, at The Widget Corporation, I was challenged with turning around a stagnant territory that ranked last in sales in the Northeastern region. Using strategies that have worked in the past, I developed an aggressive sales campaign that focused on cultivating new accounts and nurturing the existing client base. The results were tremendous. Within six months my sales team and I were able to revitalize the territory and boost sales by 65%. 3. Tie your response to the needs of the hiring organization. Don't assume that the interviewer will be able to connect all the dots. It is your job as the interviewee to make sure the interviewer understands how your experiences are transferable to the position they are seeking to fill. Sample tie-in: Because of my proven experience in leading sales teams, Craig Brown suggested I contact you regarding your need for a sales manager. Craig filled me in on the challenges your sales department is facing. 4. Ask an insightful question. By asking a question you gain control of the interview. Don't ask a question for the sake of asking. Be sure that the question will engage the interviewer in a conversation. Doing so will alleviate the stress you may feel to perform. Sample question: What strategies are currently underway to increase sales and morale within the sales department? There you have it - a response that meets the needs of the interviewer AND supports your agenda. When broken down into manageable pieces, the question, "So, tell me about yourself?" isn't overwhelming. "So, How Big is Your Penis?"

By John Follis As a result of dating for decades and chatting with many singles of both sexes, I've
gathered some interesting and helpful insights about men and women. Here are a
few:
The Age Thing.

New millennium or not, it's still dicy for a guy to ask a woman her age, especially
after just meeting, and especially if she's over 35. When dating websites feature 60-
year old geezers who won't look at a woman over 39, it's not surpising why some
single women are age sensitive. Personally, I don't get the "old guy, young babe"
thing, but it is the way some guys think. The other obvious sensitivity has to do with
women who desire a family.

The ironic thing is how ignorant many guys are about this issue especially when
they're often the ones fueling it. To them, age is just a friggin' number. So, to those
men I say, "sure it's a 'friggin' number', and so is the size of your penis." Now there's
a friggin' number some guys aren't so quick to discuss.
The Size Thing.

Since many guys will think nothing of asking a woman her age in the first 2 minutes
of meeting, try this... when a guy asks your age, smile politely and tell him. Then
ask his penis size.

Of course most women I've encountered say they don't really care about penis size.
They claim they're simply not as preoccupied with physical attributes the way men
are. And judging from the couples I've seen, I don't doubt that theory. But I've
noticed there is an area where size does matter to women.
The Height Thing.

I've discovered that a man can be old, fat, bald, with a small penis and criminal
record, but God forbid he's short. With the possible exceptions of Danny DeVito and
Napolean most women have a real problem with short guys. I've made another
observation. A man can be old, fat, bald, with a small penis and criminal record and
be short, if he's a great dancer.
The Dancing Thing.

Having the ability to glide a woman around a dance floor is -- for a guy -- like
having some kind of super-power over women. Virtually any guy can enter a
crowded room, walk up to the most attractive woman in the place, and in seconds
be rubbing bods. Try that without music and you're talkin' 3 to 5 at Levinworth. The
crazy thing is that most guys aren't into dancing. They're simply clueless. Bubble baths, football, and porn.

Call it a strong feminine side but I actually like dancing. I also dig bubble baths.
Hey, don't get me wrong, I also love football and porn, but I'm telling you if more
women were into football and porn and more guys were into bubble baths and
dancing we'd probably have a lot fewer divorces. But that's another article.
